Research Interests of Andreas Honecker

Warning: This page is under construction ! (and will probably forever remain in this stage ...)
... in fact it's quite outdated right now

My current interests are in condensed matter systems and computational techniques (e.g. the density-matrix renormalization group). Beyond that I have broad interests in theoretical and also mathematical physics. A list of some issues I have looked at or am looking at follows below. If you would like to contact me on any of these (or other) subjects, just send e-mail to ahoneck[AT]uni-goettingen.de.

Conformal field theory and W-algebras

Zn quantum spin chains and superintegrability

Self-organized criticality and the forest-fire model

One-dimensional lattice gases and matrix-product states

Plateaux in magnetization curves and spin gaps in frustrated magnets and spin ladders

Form-factor bootstrap and the random-bond Ising model
