Im Zuge der weiteren Vertiefung des im letzten Bericht skizzierten Forschungsprogramms wurde begonnen, die nötige diskrete Mathematik und Physik auf der "Ebene der Planck-Skala" zu entwickeln. Als unterliegendes Modell dient ein sogenanntes "Cellulares Netzwerk". Speziell wurde ein neuartiger Dimensionsbegriff für Graphen und andere diskrete Strukturen definiert und dimensionale Phasenübergänge studiert. Weiter wurden neue Klassen von Korrelations(un)gleichungen auf Gittersystemen angegeben mit Anwendungen u.a. in der Euklidischen Feldtheorie.
