Symposium

Together with David Jiles and Ekhard Salje we organize a 2 days symposium

"Crackling noise and intermittency in condensed matter" (22th - 24th.May,2013 ) Göttingen, Germany

on the dynamics of stick-slip process or intermittent events like they are observed in earthquake science, dislocation, twinning etc. movements in crystals, domain depinning in ferro-materials, plastic events in amorphous systems, avalanches in granular matter and biomaterials etc.

The symposium will be held in the “Paulinerkirche” in downtown Goettingen, which belongs to the University Library of Goettingen.

We strongly hope that this symposium will bring together people from very different fields and will be a good one. If you are interested to participate please send an email to one of the organizers.
